ABOUT US

Who We Are

The Stewart Center at The Westview School is a full-service psychology clinic staffed by highly-experienced professionals with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders. The Stewart Center serves children, adolescents and their families both from Westview and from the community. You do not have to be a student at The Westview School to receive services at The Stewart Center.

The mission of The Stewart Center is to provide a full range of therapeutic services and high-quality, comprehensive assessment to families in the Houston community and to be a center for identification and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders from infancy through the lifespan. As a respected training site for doctoral-level psychology students, we strive to educate the next generation of psychologists and emphasize our core values of caring, personalized service and community outreach.

From birth to at least 36 months of age, every child should be screened for developmental milestones during routine well-child visits at their pediatrician’s office. When such a screening raises concerns, The Stewart Center can complete further evaluation, make diagnoses when appropriate and help families initiate early intervention.

Why The Stewart Center?

The staff at the Stewart Center are sensitive to the needs of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. They are very familiar with the ways these disorders can introduce unique challenges for students as learners and for families. The Stewart Center offers assessments with reasonable costs for thorough, comprehensive reports. These reports include summaries of all testing performed, interpretation of results, and recommendations for continued success in school and in life.

The Stewart Center works with children and adolescents with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, language disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders and adoption-related problems. Our staff also works with neurotypical children and adults. We truly serve the entire family.

HAPPY CLIENTS

"We are so thankful for The Stewart Center. We knew our daughter needed help, but we were told it could take two years to get an assessment and diagnosis! Here we had a reasonable wait time with excellent customer service. Thank you!"

“Not every clinic is sensitive to the needs of children on the autism spectrum. The Stewart Center staff has that expertise and just 'gets' my child. We feel comfortable and welcome here."

"Dr. Montfort's reports are the most thorough I have seen. We have had testing done elsewhere in the past, but this was the first report we had that made sense. We finally got what we needed!"
